Two years ago, a woman named Ann got a new start on life. A domestic abuse
victim since childhood, Ann never had a stable life. Then she found out about a
local safe house that could help her. Less than two years later, a shy and
introverted Ann has experienced significant healing through the safe house's
established counseling program. Not only that, but she has completed schooling
and obtained employment as a pre-school teacher. And Ann is not alone.
Thousands of women and children are getting help at violence centers across the
country, centers that depend on caring people and organizations to fund their
much needed work. Says Ann, "The (safe house) program really does work for the
women who want it to work and who really put effort into it.".

can you be sure that they won't get ruined? We asked our colleagues at our
sister company, 1-800-DryClean, for some advice on cleaning comforters that we
want to share with you.

So how does your closet look? If you can't see the floor or hang up even one
more shirt, now is the time for action. Do you really need all five pairs of
old worn-out running shoes and all those dresses in different sizes? (Remember
that if you actually lose the weight to fit in those smaller sizes, you will
want to buy new clothes anyway!). Donating to a worthy charity is the best
plan. You clear out your closet and others benefit from the items that you
seldom, if ever use.
